Our research group is pleased to announce that the article "Winter Storm Uri: Resilience of the Public Drinking Water System in Texas," published in April 2024 in the journal AWWA, has been honored with the 2025 Management and Leadership Division Best Article Award. This recognition highlights the relevance and impact of the study in the field of public water system management in the face of extreme events.
We congratulate Brianna Tomko (lead author), now a Graduate Student at University of Florida, that did this work while an undergraduate student at The Ohio State University, as well as Assistant Professor Christine L. Nittrouer, at the Texas Tech University Rawls College of Business. We would like to especially acknowledge our colleagues Xavier Sanchez Vila and Audrey Sawyer H. Sawyer, members of our group, for their participation as co-authors of this article.
